Urban Fabric

Urban Fabric is a series of three sculptures resembling pieces of thread. These forms are intertwined and interlaced into the ground, giving the illusion that each piece is linked. They turn the physical environment around the sculpture into a canvas that the thread is woven into, creating a dynamic and thought provoking space. These come in two forms: a loose stitch and a tight stitch.

Urban Fabric was selected by the Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Foundation to be built and exhibited at various locations around the city. Urban Fabric was built over the span of eight months with a total budget of 10,000 USD. Urban Fabric is on permanent display at Rabdan Marina.
