NYUAD Design Feature in Grafica Magazine
Design at NYUAD is prominently featured in the debut issue of Grafica Magazine, edited by Stefano Cipolla. Cipolla currently serves as the Art Director of L’Espresso weekly magazine. Grafica, a large-format print publication, aims to become a leading voice in design and visual communication, both in Italy and internationally. One section is dedicated to design education, profiling notable design schools, with the first feature highlighting the Visual Design program at NYU Abu Dhabi.
In the article, Professor Goffredo Puccetti discusses the distinctive role of design within the liberal arts curriculum at NYUAD. Additionally, NYU Shanghai alumna Celia Forster, now at Harvard, reflects on her year studying design in Abu Dhabi, writing a heartfelt "love letter" to the NYUAD design program.
Grafica Magazine will be published quarterly, with copies available in the Visual Design Lab. Photos from the magazine’s launch at Libreria Spazio Sette in Rome, on September 17, 2024, are included.
